How to reach us
Our mountain hut is located in Obereggen, South Tyrol, easily accessible but far from the hustle and bustle. After booking, we will send you detailed directions and information on available parking.
Are you travelling by public transport? We will be happy to pick you up in the village: just specify this when booking.
From Bolzano to the Zischgalm mountain hut
By car: take the A22 Brenner motorway to the Bolzano Nord exit. After the exit, turn right towards Bolzano Centro and after about 500 m at the roundabout turn left towards Val d'Ega (SS 241). Follow the Val d'Ega state road to Ponte Nova. Here, turn right and follow the signs for Obereggen. The journey from the motorway exit takes about 25 minutes. Then follow the alpine road, pass the hotels and continue towards the Epircher Laner Alm. Follow the road for 10 minutes and you will arrive at your destination.
By public transport: From Bolzano bus station (Bozen Autostazione), there is a direct connection to Obereggen on line 189. The journey takes about 43 minutes, and buses run several times a day. Alternatively, you can take line 181 to Nova di Sopra and change there. Detailed timetables are available at suedtirolmobil.info
By cable car and on foot:
you can reach the valley station of the cable cars in Obereggen (approx. 1,550 m above sea level) by bus or car. In the summer months (June to early October), the Oberholz chairlift and the Ochsenweide cable car are in operation.
